An exclusive series of meetings curated by Gregg Alf, aimed at training young musicians to care about their instruments and providing all the useful information about the world of violin making with a specific focus on performers.
The Lab is structured as a series of 3 seminars lasting two days each (3 hours per day, compatible with other concurrent courses at the Stauffer Academy).
The third session of this Lutherie Lab focuses on the following topics:
Certification, assurance and best practices in violin ownership.
Other topics may be developed in synergy with other Stauffer Academy faculty.
Maximum number of students: 35
The course is open to Italian and foreign citizens, Stauffer students and non-Stauffer, musicians, researchers and enthusiasts.

A fixed administrative fee of €50.00 by bank transfer (net of any currency and commission charges) is required to finalize the application. Full details on how to proceed with payment can be found in the full application regulations (downloadable below).
The fee is non-refundable.
Admission is subject to the evaluation of the submitted documentation.
The course is entirely free of charge.
However, it should be noted that the students are responsible for their own costs relating to travel, accommodation and board in Cremona, as well as other personal expenses.
