Deadline:
28/06/2022 - 26/01/2023

THE COURSE

As part of the Stauffer Management Lab, IMG artists managers Federico M. Benigni and Nicholas Mathias, together with students, will study the basics and fundamentals of artist management and its different functions. They will explore the different roles artist managers play in an artist’s career; they will understand how agents build and develop their roster, how they affect the performer’s career and how they see the different leadership approaches at various career stages.
They will offer the right tools needed to take their first steps into the professional world, discussing best practices for managing artists (and themselves), with an emphasis on real case studies and special guest speakers.
Through the workshop, they will analyze various potential problems and scenarios and develop techniques and skills to find solutions, simulating the experience of managing an artist. They will hypothetically take on the management tasks of an existing artist and help him or her reorganize his or her career into a comprehensive final project.

The workshop will help Stauffer’s young talents take control of their careers through direct advice from some of the industry’s most prestigious managers.
