Selaocoe combines <strong data-start=\"221\" data-end=\"247\">virtuosic performances<\/strong> with <strong data-start=\"253\" data-end=\"295\">improvisation, singing, and percussion<\/strong>, and he has a special interest in creating musical programs that highlight the connections between <strong data-start=\"395\" data-end=\"441\">Western and non-Western musical traditions<\/strong>, aiming to help classical music reach a more diverse audience.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"1051\">After completing his <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"561\">International Artist Diploma<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"604\">Royal Northern College of Music<\/strong> in July 2018, Abel has already performed extensively across the <strong data-start=\"669\" data-end=\"687\">United Kingdom<\/strong>, in venues such as <strong data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"759\">Cadogan Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Sage Gateshead,<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"784\">Bridgewater Hall<\/strong>. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the <strong data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"865\">BBC Philharmonic<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"909\">BBC National Orchestra of Wales<\/strong>, and he has performed with orchestras across <strong data-start=\"955\" data-end=\"971\">South Africa<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1016\">Kwa-Zulu Natal, Johannesburg,<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1048\">Cape Town Philharmonics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1379\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Selaocoe is a passionate chamber musician, having made his <strong data-start=\"1112\" data-end=\"1128\">Wigmore Hall<\/strong> debut in 2013 alongside composer <strong data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1180\">Colin Matthews<\/strong>.
