The Quartetto di Genova named “Best Italian Ensemble” at the Filippo Nicosia Chamber Music Award 2026

The Quartetto di Genova, an ensemble from the String Quartet Course at the Stauffer Academy, has won the “Best Italian Ensemble” Prize at the Filippo Nicosia Chamber Music Award 2026.

The ensemble, formed by Yesenia Vicentini and Filippo Taccogna (violins), Teresa Valenza (viola) and Stefano Grazioli (cello), will travel to China next January for a concert tour as part of the award, with performances in Beijing and Chongqing, organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing.
