From 4 to 8 March, the Stauffer Academy will be the protagonist of a special week that the “Reina Sofía” School of Music in Madrid dedicates to Cremonese string instruments and chamber music. The event is part of a collaboration that also involves the Consortium of Violinmakers “A. Stradivari” of Cremona, the International Institute of Chamber Music of Madrid and Le Dimore del Quartetto.
The Quartetto Rilke and the Quartetto Goldberg, students of the String Quartet course, have been selected by Günter Pichler, the founder of the Alban Berg Quartett, to participate in his masterclasses and perform in two concerts at the Sony Auditorium.
The Quartetto Rilke will play the Quartet of the “Consorzio Liutai” instruments, created specifically for the 25th anniversary of the Consortium of Violinmakers and currently owned by the Stauffer Foundation.
