As a result of an agreement between the Pro Canale Foundation and the Stauffer Foundation, the Doré Quartet, students of the String Quartet course, have received four historic Italian instruments on loan: the Giovanni Battista Ceruti (Cremona 1815) and Gaetano Antoniazzi (Cremona 1885) violins, the Giovanni Pistucci viola (Naples circa 1910) and the Celeste Farotti cello (Milan 1906).
