“There is no right or wrong, only a difference of perspective. When I meet a student whose approach is different from what I am used to, I try to value his personality. And the student has to develop his individuality.” –  Maestro Francesco Siragusa

Francesco Siragusa, Principal Double Bass of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, held a special session for Maestro Franco Petracchi’s class. Students delved into excerpts and solos from the lyric-symphonic repertoire, with a special focus on Giuseppe Verdi’s masterpieces, from “Traviata,” “Rigoletto” and “La forza del destino” to “Aida,” “Otello” and “Falstaff.”
