One of the greatest double bassists of our time, whose approach revolutionized the instrument’s role in the solo repertoire, Franco Petracchi inspired the most important composers of the 20th century, including Luciano Berio, Nino Rota and many others. He has been a founding teacher at the Stauffer Academy since 1986 and has continued to pass on his experience to new generations of instrumentalists ever since.
