STAUFFER 40 | Omaggio a Cremona
“Omaggio a Cremona” returns in this edition, unfolding along two connecting paths. First held in 1986, this historic event now forms part of celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the Stauffer Academy. And what better way this milestone appointment than with a concert featuring Salvatore Accardo and Bruno Giuranna, two tireless champions of the great Italian tradition of string playing. Both have played an essential role in the growth and international stature of what is now one of the world’s leading academies for advanced musical training.
On May 29 at 8:30 PM, in the Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium at the Museo del Violino, Accardo, Giuranna and the Stauffer students will perform Anton Arensky’s String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 35 (for violin, viola, and two cellos) and Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Op. 44.
Free admission with reservation via Eventbrite: the reservations will open soon.
