On the occasion of the World Violin Day celebrations (13th December), the Stauffer Center for Strings, the first international music centre entirely dedicated to string instruments, celebrates this very special occasion with a video made with its Stauffer Academy teachers and students.

From Cremona, the violin-making capital of the world, an extraordinary group of legendary musicians, all teachers at the Stauffer Academy, celebrates the violin by launching a special message of greetings from the Stradivari Room of Palazzo Stauffer, home of the Stauffer Center, bringing together an extraordinary collection of historical instruments:

Salvatore Accardo (with the 1730 Guarneri del Gesù ‘ex Hart’ violin), Daniel Hope (with the 1742 Guarneri del Gesù ‘ex Lipinski’ violin), Julian Rachlin (with the 1704 Stradivari ‘ex Liebig’ violin), Steven Isserlis (with the 1726 Stradivari ‘Marquis de Corberon’ cello), Sarah Mcelravy (with the 1791 Ferdinando Gagliano violin).
