The call for applications to the Stauffer Academy’s High Specialisation Courses for the 2023-2024 academic year is now open!
The Stauffer Academy confirms the advanced courses in Violin (Salvatore Accardo), Viola and Chamber Music (Bruno Giuranna), Cello (Antonio Meneses), Double Bass (Franco Petracchi) and String Quartet (Quartetto di Cremona), free of charge for all admitted students.
Guest professors enrich the teaching offer with extraordinary sessions dedicated specifically to the students enrolled in the annual courses, on specific topics and repertoire.
In particular, for the Violin, Viola and Cello courses, Professors Bruno Canino and Enrico Pace will respectively hold two special masterclasses on Chamber Music with Piano.
The Double Bass course will feature Davide Botto (Teatro Regio di Torino), Antonio Sciancalepore (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia) and Francesco Siragusa (Teatro alla Scala) for an in-depth study of the orchestral repertoire.
The students of the String Quartet course will have the opportunity to work together with great quartet players such as Günter Pichler (First Violin of the Alban Berg Quartet), Pavel Nikl (Viola of the Pavel Haas Quartet) and Kyril Zlotnikov (Cello of the Jerusalem Quartet).
The third edition of the Concertmaster Artist Programme, the annual course dedicated to the figure of the Orchestra Leader, is also confirmed.
